Message From Dr. Nelson April 26, 2020

Dear WES Families,

As we enter the next week of School at Home (S@H) learning, I am reminded of the many people in the WES community who support our efforts to provide your child with the best education possible -- regardless of time, place, or circumstance. With that sentiment in mind, I would state that there is no doubt we have an absolutely incredible partnership with the Mount Lebanon Police Department.  I would argue that there is no greater evidence of the partnership we have with them than this video that was created in a collaborative effort between them and our second grade team.  May it provide you with a few laughs, a few smiles, and a reminder of how thankful we are when we “look for the helpers.”

Please also recall this useful information:

Recall that MTLSD is providing free bagged meals for ALL students M-F from 11-1pm at the High School Entrance C-20.

If you need help with food, utilities, or other life-sustaining items, please consider these local resources.

If you child is unable to participate in S@H due to illness, please fill out this form.

If you need additional devices or a "hot-spot", please fill out this form.

If you do not want your child to participate in videoconferencing, please complete this opt-out form.

If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warmest Regards and Hope for Health and Safety,

Dr. Melissa M Nelson, Principal
